The Haka Party Incident
The Haka Party Incident is large scale verbatim theatre piece that resurrects a significant historical moment in race relations in Aotearoa/New Zealand. In 1979, a group of young Māori and Pasifika activists confronted a group of University of Auckland engineering students as they rehearsed their ‘mock’ haka.
Artefact
A journey through New Zealand history focusing on treasures and artefacts linked to Maori culture, while exploring contemporary themes and challenging people to examine what sort of New Zealand to leave for the next generation.
