About Katie
Katie Wolfe ( Ngāti Mutunga Ngāti Tama, Ngati Toa Rangatira) is a multi-talented director, writer and actor hailing from Aotearoa New Zealand, with an impressive career in both film, television and theatre. She has won critical acclaim for her work, particularly for her most recent theatre piece The Haka Party Incident and films Waru, This Is Her, and Redemption.

As a director, Katie has worked across a range of genres, from drama to documentary. Her recent television work includes the documentary series Artefact and The Brokenwood Mysteries, showcasing her versatility in crafting compelling stories across different formats.

Katie has also made a name for herself as an accomplished actor, with recent credits including the films Daffodils and The Ring Inz. Her experience on both sides of the camera gives her a unique perspective that informs her work and sets her apart as a filmmaker.

In addition to her work in the film and television industries, Katie is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the arts. She has spoken out about the need for greater representation of women and Māori, and has worked to create opportunities for emerging talent.
